'We, Women In Technology' Initiative

warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/jointleap/new.fat-net.org/sites/all/themes/fat/footer.php on line 14.

The We, Women in Technology (WeWIT) Initiative is a one-of-its kind initiative by FAT to bring together women who work with technology under one roof. Though the media today is populated by stories of women achievers and most-powerful women, there is very little concerted effort that goes into documenting and identifying women achievers in the workplace until they break through the glass ceiling.

This is especially true about technology, which for the longest time has been a ‘men only’ domain. Led by this unfortunate bias, we often lose out on knowing about the many thousands of women who have played their part in innovating in their workspaces – whether it is through driving entrepreneurship in technology, innovation in research and design, manufacturing, engineering, IT and ITES and much more.

The WeWIT initiative is an effort to create a community of women who work in technical fields and highlight the stories of women leaders in technology. We intend to provide a space for technical women to interact and support each other in their respective fields.

Do write in to us if you are a woman working in the field of technology, or if you know anyone you that deserves to be counted in. Read more about the initiative on the site – www.wewit.in, and join in to be a  part of  the community!
