25th to 27th March, 2009, New Delhi
Workshop on "Creating Effective Videos with Simple, easy-to-use Technologies"

This 3-day workshop trained professional development workers in the craft of videomaking and editing. Sixteen women from all over India (and even one from Nepal!) gathered for this intensive educational experience. Rita Banerji and Aparna Sanyal led the workshop. The workshop had a combination of lectures, hands-on lessons and live shooting. Participants got the chance to edit on Windows Movie Maker and Linux-based Kino, as well as got a feel for professional Final Cut Pro software under the guidance of professional editors, Shilpi Sharma and Anjali Khosla.

Rita Banerji runs a wild-life film-making company called Dustyfoot Productions, while Aparna Sanyal runs another production house called Mixedmedia Productions.
