A techie who was far away from the debates and discussions around women's rights: today, the founder of a feminist, rights-based organization, working on women's empowerment by increasing their access, interest and participation in technology. There are certain events in life that bring us immense joy and pride. More so, if the event is an unforeseen and unexpected one and turns out to be an enriching experience. It’s been over two years at FAT for me and I have learned basics of technology at the Tech Center, including basic computer skills and camera course, while also understanding and learning about my rights by attending various workshops organized by FAT. Today, I teach girls at the Tech Center ensuring that they learn not just technology but understand and realize their rights and build their self-confidence.

In the years that I have been with FAT, I have always been given newer responsibilities at each step so that I become more independent and courageous and fulfill all my duties, which I strive to do even today. By Rekha Yadav
